In celebration of the BMFA Centenary a world record attempt was made on Sunday 15th May 2022. The plan was to have as many model aircraft at clubs throughout the UK airborne at the same time (precisely 12noon) and it seems to have been a tremendous success. 3109 aircraft were recorded which comfortably exceeded the previous record of 179! Many thanks to the 5 pilots that participated at Stoke Ash on the day, (from L to R) Jaco Coetzee, Marc Osbourne, Paul Holmes (guest – Chairman of Gravesend Model Flying Club), Joe Moulton and Simon Cridge. Four of the aircraft sported Ukraine flags in a gesture of support. Well done to everyone that took part and thank you!
